Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic: The Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens and Dallas Stars have edged the Vancouver Canucks Kiefer Sherwood.
Was told late last week that the Boston Bruins have not had any discussions with the Canucks about Sherwood, although he would make sense for them. There is the Rik Tocchet connection for the Philadelphia Flyers, but was told they haven’t spoken, and the Flyers are pretty deep on the wings and not really clicking.
An extension as part of the trade would interest some teams.
