* Macklin Celebrini reached the 100 point milestone and was tied Eddie Olczyk as the eighth-youngest player in NHL history to reach the mark. The only active player above him: Sidney Crosby.
*Sunday’s four-game slate includes a matchup between the top two picks from the 2023 NHL Draft, when Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks host Leo Carlsson and the Ducks. Both 20-year-olds have identical points totals and lead the way in their clubs’ scores.
GEEKIE, MACKINNON BECOME THE FIRST PLAYERS WITH 20 OBJECTIVES
Morgan Geekie found the back of the net twice and scored twenty goals just hours later Nathan Mackinnon hit the target. The NHL has two 20-goal scorers at this stage of the season (401 GP) for the fourth time in the last twelve years (also 3 in 2022-23, 2 in 2021-22 and 2018-19).

* Geekie (2-0-2) scored both of his club points to help Boston (15-12-0, 30 points) become the second Atlantic Division team to reach 30 points. Geekie (20-6—26 in 27 GP) became the third fastest Browns player scored twenty goals in one season in the past 45 years Cam Neely (19 GP in 1993-94 and 27 GP in 1989-90) and David Pastrnak (22 GP in 2019-20).
* Geekie is tied for the NHL per-season lead after finishing 26th overall with his first 30-goal season (33 in 2024-2025). He’s operating at a 0.74 goals-per-game pace in 2025-26 after starting the campaign with a career rate of 0.22.

* MacKinnon (1-2-3) helped Colorado score seven goals and extend its point streak to 16 games (13-0-3), matching the second-longest run in franchise history (also 2000-01) – the record was set in 2021-2022 (19 GP). The Avalanche (18-1-6, 42 points), who have suffered just one regular-season defeat in the 2025-26 season, have now scored 100 team goals in their first 25 games of a season for the third time in team history, following 2021-22 (24 GP) and 1995-96 (25 GP) – going on to win the Stanley Cup in each of those campaigns.
* MacKinnon (20-24-44 in 25 GP) needed the fewest games Avalanche team history (since 1995-96) to reach the 20-goal mark, breaking the previous pace of Mikko Rantanen in 2022-23 (28 GP). MacKinnon has reached the plateau for the ninth straight season and for the 11th time in 13 career campaigns.

CELEBRINI REACHES 100 POINTS AND ADDED TO NHL SHORT LIST
Macklin Celebrini (0-1-1) helped his team erase a three-goal lead by beating the Golden Knights while recording and tying his 100th career point Eddie Olczyk as the eighth-youngest player in NHL history to reach the milestone. The 19-year-old increased his season totals to 14-23-37 (26 GP) and is currently second in the NHL in scoring behind Nathan Mackinnon (20-24—44 in 25 GP) and one lead Connor McDavid (11-25—36 in 26 GP).

* Celebrini became the second fastest player in Sharks history to 100 points (96 GP), behind Joe Thornton (65 GP) and the fastest among the players who debuted at San Jose (previously Sandis Ozolinsh in 144 GP).
KUCHEROV, HAIL HELP LIGHTNING EXTEND STROKES
Nikita Kucherov (0-3-3) extended his point streak to nine games with his fifth consecutive multi-point effort Brandon Hagel (2-0-2) scored for the first time in his career in five straight games to win the Lightning pushing their overall win streak to seven games and their road win streak to five.
* The Lightningwho now hold a four-point lead over first place in the Atlantic Division, improved to 8-2-2 on the road this season and won eight of their first twelve games as visitors for the fourth time in franchise history (also 2021-22, 2018-19 and 2017-18). It marks Tampa Bay’s longest road winning streak since six games in 2019-2020, two behind the franchise record (7 GP in 2006-07).
* Hagel scored 12 goals in November, equal Stars forward Jason Robertson for the most of any player in the League since November 1. Kucherov picked up his 50th career three-assist game becoming the ninth fastest player in NHL history to reach the benchmark. Sidney Crosby (67) and Connor McDavid (56) are the only other active players with 50 appearances of three-plus assists.

* Mitch Marner (1-1-2) accounted for half of his club’s goals to improve his 2025-2026 total to 5-20-25 (25 GP). He tied Jonathan Marchessault (10-15-25 in 2017-18) for the most points by a Golden Knights player during their first 25 career games with the club and became the fastest player in franchise history to reach 20 career assists, making him the best David Perron (27GP).
* Leon Draisaitl (1-1-2) accounted for two of four Edmonton marks and increased his career totals against Seattle to 7-23-30 (14 GP). Draisaitl’s 2.14 points per game against the Cracking is the highest of all active players versus one franchise (min. 10 GP). Connor McDavid is the next player (1.90 P/GP vs. CBJ in 20 GP).
* Oliver Ekman-Larsson (1-1-2) and Morgan Rielly (0-2-2) each posted multi-point performances from the blueline to the Maple leaves scored seven in Pittsburgh. Ekman-Larsson extended his points streak to nine games and leveled the score second longest run by a Maple leaves defender while Rielly became the third blueliner in franchise history with 100 multi-point outings afterward Borje Salming (175) and Thomas Kaberle (102).
* Beck Malenstyn And Jos Doan scored to help Buffalo erase 1-0 and 2-1 deficits Sabres improved to 11-5-1 (16 GP) while visiting Minnesota. Their all-time road point percentage of .676 against the Wild is the best of each team in that scenario (min. 5 GP).
* Simon the German (1-0-1) became the fifth defenseman to enter Devils/Rockies/Scouts history with six goals in a subsequent calendar month Dave Pichette (December 10, 1984), Barry Beck (December 10, 1977), Tom Kurvers (8 in December 1988) and Mike McEwen (December 6, 1979).

BEDARD MEETS CARLSSON AT THE TOP 2023 DRAFT PICKS SHOWDOWN
Sunday’s four-game slate features an intriguing matchup between the top two picks from the 2023 NHL Draft, both with identical point totals this season when Connor Bedard (14-19—33 in 24 GP) and the Blackhawks host Leo Carlsson (13-20—33 in 24 GP) and the Ducks.
* Bedard and Carlsson, both 20 years old, lead their respective teams in points this season and have been key drivers of their club’s year-on-year improvements. The Ducks (15-8-1, 31 points) maintain first place in the Pacific Division as they look to return to the postseason for the first time since 2017-18. The Blackhawks (10-9-5, 25 points) sit just two points behind the playoff line and own a .521 point percentage so far. The last time Chicago finished a campaign with a points percentage above .500 was 2019-20, the season before Bedard made his debut with the WHL’s Regina Pats.
