NFL Week 4 Summary: immediate Fantasy Football Pick -up meals from Sunday games

Estimated reading time: 10 minutes

Pff’s Fantasy Football Summary focuses on the use of players and statistics, so that all the vital information you need to achieve fantasies successes in 2025 split.

Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Jordan Addison Returns: The broad reception room of the Vikings was back at full strength with Addison’s suspension.

Vikings wide recipient Jordan Addison was suspended for the first three weeks of the season, but he was able to return this week. Minnesota Brought Tim Jones and signed him with the practice team to make room for Addison on the schedule of 53 men. Addison has consistently played around 90% of the attacking Snaps of Minnesota in most matches since the start of his Rookie season, and he was back in that role for this competition. Addison on average 14.2 fantasy points per match last season, which was usually good enough to be a fantasy starter. His imagination value in the rest of the season will largely depend on the game of his quarterback and the quality of his opponent, but fantasy managers do not have to worry about his playing time. He spent the first 56 minutes of the game with a modest three receptions for 33 yards, but a bloated cover led to a reception of 81 meters at the end of the game, which brought him to 114 Yards.

This pushed jalen nailor to the third on the depth card. His role was similar to last season, where he played in most, but not all, of the sets with three receivers. Adam Thielen started about nailor, probably out of respect for the veteran, but Thielen was a clear fourth on the depth card. The fantasy value of Thielen was at least in the three games he played to start the season, and now his value will be even lower. There is little reason to hold him in herraft competitions. Even in dynasty competitions I would understand the 35-year-old recipient.

Jaylen Warren was a surprise inactive: Warren came back last week as a down that ran back, but was inactive this week due to an injury.

Warren was one of various important steelers players mentioned on the Wednesday injury report as non-injuries related. However, on Thursday, Warren was limited again, but this time due to a knee injury. Warren was mentioned as doubtful on Friday, and it was only Eastern at 8 o’clock that we found out that Warren would not play, to the dismay of every fantasy manager who slept in it.

Kenneth Gainwell took 69 Snaps during the first three weeks compared to the four of Kaleb Johnson, so it was no surprise that Gainwell ran back the Steelers-Digible. Johnson only saw the field a few snaps at a time when Gainwell needed a break.

Gainwell must remain on fantasy grilles in most 12 team competitions as one of the handcuffs that usually plays a remarkable amount of snaps. However, it does not have to be picked up in most 10 team competitions where it is available. The Steelers have their week next week, so there should be enough time for Warren to recover.

This game was a good example of why Johnson can probably fall into most Redraft competitions. Different Rookie running are one injury away from the starter, but in Pittsburgh it will cost two injuries for Johnson to offer fantasy value. Although there is a considerable chance that he can earn some playing time as the season progresses, that would either make the Steelers a three-man committee or he would penetrate Gainwell’s playing time. Anyway, that will not be enough playing time to be worth starting in fantasy competitions.

Darnell Washington leads the sleek end space of the stalkers: Pittsburgh has not turned his tight ends as much as usual. Washington led first instead of Jonnu Smith or Pat Freiermuth.

The Steelers spent the first three weeks of the season with all three of their lead that play between 40-70% of the attacking snaps. Washington has been the primary tight end in set-end-end sets on early downs, Freiermuth was the most important man on third downs, while Smith and Freiermuth were the typical combination in bipping sets.

In this game, Washington was more consistent on the field in sets with one tight end. The Steelers largely left 11 employees, because many of those single-sight-end Snaps took place with a sixth offensive lineman on the field. The Steelers also did not have much third or medium or long situations. Washington and Smith were the most common combination in double sets.

It is worth noting that Smith was doubtful for this game because of a hip injury, so that may have influenced its playing time. However, the Steelers also made it clear that they often wanted their tight ends on the field. Connor Heyward, who is fourth on the depth map, played more in this game than normal, while Freiermuth played remarkably less, so this was not just a reaction to Smith’s injury.

There is a chance that the use of Washington was dependent on the game plan. We have seen Arthur Smith change things from one week to the next one with his tight ends earlier. Although we should see more of Smith and Freiermuth in the coming weeks, it will still be very difficult to be dependent on both on line -ups of fantasy bars. Although I can understand the roasting of Smith in 12-teams competitions if you have a normal tight end for a coming week, there is no reason to roast in 10 team Redraft competitions.

Monitor Calvin Austin IIIHealth: Austin sustained a shoulder injury after a reception in the early quarter, quickly left for the dressing room and did not return.

Austin spent the entire season as the number 2 receiver of the Steelers and has seen a similar playing time as DK Metcalf. There is a big opening between their playing time and all other Steelers wide recipients. Roman Wilson had come to the fore in three receiver sets in recent weeks, but Ben SkowRonek kept that job in this competition.

Austin left the game after the injury and was reportedly taken in an ambulance shortly after the injury while he was at a pendulum.

As soon as Austin had left because of his injury, Scotty Miller took over as a broad receiver. Miller is the only other broad receiver who played attacking Snaps in the first three weeks in sets of one or two recipients. The Steelers will have their week next week, so Ideally, Austin will have enough time to recover. If Austin’s injury takes him a few weeks, we need to expect Miller to be a full -time receiver for Pittsburgh.

It would still not be surprising to see that the Steelers is an exchange for Allen Lazard, who is currently in fifth place on the depth card of the New York Jets and is not expected to play a lot if all broad recipients of the New York Jets are healthy. He would probably play a greater role in these Steelers attack, with or without the Austin injury.

Various notes

  • The playing time of TJ Hockenson continues to increase, as it has the entire season. He is a buy-low option after a low target total this week. He played more than 90% of the attacking Snaps of Minnesota for the first time since the 2023 season.
  • Jordan Mason took the clear majority of Snaps in the first half, outside the two -minute drill. Injuries to the offensive line made it difficult for him to find good luck in the Run game, with one line man in the run -up to the competition and two rulers with early outputs of this game.
  • The Vikings elevated Cam Akers from the practice team for a second consecutive week with Aaron Jones on injured reserve.
  • Vikings third tight end Ben YuroSek was inactive due to a knee injury, so that veteran Nick Vannett took over as the third tight end.
  • Vikings Quarterback JJ McCarthy missed his second consecutive game due to an ankle injury.
  • The Steelers elevated Trey -Preek from the practice team for a second consecutive week, but he only played in special teams.

Table notes
  • Snaps include plays that are mentioned back because of penalties, including keeping offensive or defensive pass -interference. The other three statistics have removed these plays.
  • Goals can differ from official NFL sources. The most likely discrepancy would come from a clear shot pass, whereby the NFL can give the target to the nearest recipient, while this data does not.
  • Carries are only on designed plays. Quarterback Scrambles do not count for the total number of Carry’s in the game.
