- The multiple X recipients of the ravens: Rashod Bateman, Deandre Hopkins and Devontez Walker all made impact games in week 3. Although that is encouraging for Baltimore’s attack, the rotation limitation of the rotation limitation and it makes a headache for fantasymanships.
Pff’s Fantasy Football Summary focuses on the use of players and statistics, so that all the vital information you need to achieve fantasies successes in 2025 split.
Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens
The lions lean onto heavily Jahmyr Gibbs: Gibbs registered a season-high Snap share, while the use of David Montgomery fell to a low season.
The lions usually leaned early in competitions on David Montgomery and at the start of the second half, gradually shifting to Jahmyr Gibbs as every half progresses. However, that trend has been reversed in the past two weeks. Gibbs played all nine snaps on the first two discs last week and all 14 snaps on the first two discs this week.
In week 3, Gibbs registered 12 first half for the second most in the first half in his career. The only other cases in which he reached that brand came in games where Montgomery was inactive. He also saw five goals in the first half and set a new career high.
The lions did not control the time of possession in the second half as they did in the first and began to spread the ball more. Yet Jahmyr Gibbs continued to surpass David Montgomery in use compared to earlier games. Gibbs ended with 27 touches – a career high in a game in which Montgomery was also active. If this trend applies, Gibbs must remain an elite fantasy option.
Montgomery found the end zone early, tore a 72-Yard Run in the third quarter and added a touchdown of 31 meters in the last minutes. But despite the great fantasy output, his Snap share continued to fall. Given the shift in use, Montgomery looks like a strong sales-high candidate, given his major game mixed with his reduced Snap share.

Rashod Bateman plays a reduced role for a second consecutive match: Bateman registered a fast share of 60% or less for the second consecutive week.
Rashod Bateman had an average SNAP share of 67.5% last season, including 84.7% of Snaps in sets with three receivers and 77.1% in sets with two receivers. However, he was rarely used in formations with one receiver and appeared only 12 of the 180 of the ravens of such plays.
This year the use of Bateman in sets with three recipients has remained consistent, but his Snap share in sets with two recipients has fallen below 50% in back-to-back weeks. With both Deandre Hopkins and Devontez Walker who also mainly work as X recipients, the role of Bateman has become more limited. Although he had a short touchdown and made a few important plays late, his Hopkins and Walker have been much more efficient in terms of recruiting by routerun this season.
It is almost impossible to trust Rashod Bateman in fantasy with his current Snap share. If Deandre Hopkins and Devontez continue to produce Walker, this can evolve to a complete rotation on the X receiver place. The ravens have also been without Isaiah and Patrick Ricard, and as soon as they return, Baltimore can shift to more sets with one and two receiver.
The gamecript has also played a role. Baltimore has confronted with pass-heavy matchups against the bills and lions, and they will see the Chiefs next week before they touch a much softer piece of the schedule. All signs point to Bateman who runs even fewer routes in the coming weeks.
Bateman can probably be dropped in most Redraft competitions, given the role of its role and the expected process. Likewise, Hopkins is a cut candidate where he is still roasted. At the age of 33, after having played each of the past two seasons under 50% of the snaps, even Dynasty managers should consider going further for younger advantage.

Various notes
- The third strict tight end of Lions, Shane Zylstra, was placed on an injured reserve last Tuesday after an ankle injury last week. The lions elevated Ross Dwelley from the practice team to take his place.
- Lions -back -up that Sione Vaki ran back, who missed a hamstring injury for the first two weeks, was a full participant in practice all week and received no injury indication. However, he suffered a groin injury at a special team play.
- To make room for VAKI on the pin grid, Craig Reynolds was a healthy inactive one. Reynolds had been active for the previous 40 games of the Lions and played at least eight snaps on attacks and special teams in all 40. He has been in the Lions selection since 2021.
- The lions were the first NFL team to do the Maryland-I Because the Chicago carries in week 6 of 2023. It may be a coincidence that the lions have chosen to use this formation while playing Maryland.
- Ravens tight endsaja probably (foot) and fullback Patrick Ricard (Kalf) missed their third consecutive match. Zaire Mitchell paths were elevated from the practice team to take their place, similar to the first two weeks of the season.
- The playing time of Mark Andrews was somewhat different from the future weeks. His overall playing time was similar, but he was more often on the field in 11 employees and less often on the field for 12 employees. However, his use will probably change again and Ricard is back. Anyway, it was good to see his target interest improve this week.
- Ravens that run back Keaton Mitchell remains inactive despite being healthy because of his limited contribution to special teams.
Table notes
• Snaps include plays that are mentioned back because of penalties, including keeping offensive or defensive pass -interference. The other three statistics have removed these plays.
• Goals can differ from official NFL sources. The most likely discrepancy would come from a clear shot pass, whereby the NFL can give the target to the nearest recipient, while this data does not.
• Carries are only on designed plays. Quarterback Scrambles do not count for the total number of Carry’s in the game.
