Yoane Wissa has moved to Newcastle United.
The Brentford striker that registers in St James’ Park.
The news unveiled on Monday (September 1, 2025) evening via an official announcement of Newcastle United (see below).
As usual, no transfer costs made public.
However, media reports had reported it earlier in the day as a £ 55 million deal in total.
With £ 50 million reportedly guaranteed, another £ 5 million in potential future add-ons.
No contract length confirmed in the official announcement, but Sky Sports had previously stated that it has been a deal of four years between NUFC and Yoane Wissa.

‘Newcastle United can confirm the transfer of the Deadline Day of Forward Yoane Wissa from Brentford for an unknown compensation, subject to approval from the Premier League.
The 28-year-old, who was born in France and Dr. Congo represents at international level, has completed a long -term deal to become the sixth summer arrival in St. James’ Park.
Yoane’s career started with the French side Châteauoux, where he progressed through the youth system before he made a switch to Angers in 2016. Loan spells at Laval and Ajaccio followed, but it was when they entered the then Ligue 2 -side Lorient in January 2018 that he started to leave his mark.
Yoane helped Lorient to reach the French top flight, where he scored ten times before earning his move to the newly promoted Brentford in 2021.
The striker quickly settled in the Premier League and leaves the bees with 49 goals of 149 games in all competitions, including a personal highlight of 19 competition goals in the past term.
Yoane is wearing the number nine shirt for Newcastle United.
Yoane said: “I am really happy to be here and to sign for one of the largest clubs in the Premier League.
“I am very, very excited to put on the black -white shirt. I have dreams, I have confidence and now I will do my best to make it all happen. I can’t wait to start.”
