There will be a lot of movement up and down the Premier League during the last days of the transfer window, which will be closed on Monday at 7 p.m.
Senior additions are needed, especially in front, but Newcastle could have a young attacker leave, with a certain Academy star who received surprising interest prior to the deadline.
As revealed by PostTrevan Sanusi is sought by Ligue 1 duo Le Havre and Auxerre, who both want to take the 18-year-old on loan.
Ben Jacobs also reports that Le Havre has shown ‘concrete interest’ in the exciting England Youth International, who could benefit from a season at senior level after shining with our under-21s.
Sanusi was one of the breakout talents of our pre-season campaign last summer, but had a Stop-Start 2024/25 season after picking up an injury.
Last summer, Eddie Howe admitted that it was “too early” to lend the difficult winger, but that attitude may have changed a year later, especially now that Park Seung-Sooo will probably stay with our under-21 side this season.
Speaking of Sanusi last August said Howe:“I personally think it is too early to borrow him. The largest we have to do is develop his talent and continue to improve his play – but also psychologically develop.
“I thought he was doing well tonight. I think he has pieces to learn, of course, for someone his age. Tactically he has things to improve.
“We have to build him physically to protect him and to ensure that he is robust enough to tackle the deprivation of the Premier League. But he has left a positive impression on us and I am really happy with him.”
