New Zealand versus Australia 1st T20 GOKTIPS

Mount Maunganui, Wednesday, 4.15 pm (Aest)

New -Zeeland

New -Zeeland comes in the series as the number4 -arranged T20 team in the world, but in incredibly hot form, which so far have won nine of their 11 T20 matches. Those victories came in series about Pakistan, South Africa and Zimbabwe, but this time they will have a more difficult test against their proverbial big brother in Australia.

The battle department is led by talented younger Rachin Ravindra and Stalwarts in Devon Conway and Tim Seifert, who is currently the only kiwi in the top 10 -arranged T20 World Batsmen. Their bowling department looks a bit better and filled with world class artists in Matt Henry, Jacob Duffy and Kyle Jamieson.

Predicted New -Zeeland XI: Tim Seifert, Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, Zakary Foulkes, Kyle Jamieson, Ish Sodhi, Matt Henry, Jacob Duffy

Australia

Just like the kiwis, the Aussies have been in a dominant patch of T20 internationals, after they have won 10 of their last 11 games that go back to the end of 2024. The change of the guard with a new look team and a new skipper in Mitchper in Mitcher is a fruitful one because they have climbed to number 2 in the T20 International Team rangers.

The Batting Line-Up has a serious firepower everywhere, with one of Travis Head, Tim David, Mitch Marsh, Mitch Owen or Matthew Short able to win a competition from their own bat. The bowling unit is less experienced, but well led by loyal stablewarts in Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa.

Predicted Australian XI: Travis Head, Mitch Marsh, Matthew Short, Mitchell Owen, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David, Alex Carey, Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

Prediction

Difficult to look along the Aussies here with the firepower they have in their batting line-up, especially on the smaller bay of oval soil that should promote a lot of power.

The average score of the team that first hit the last eight international T20 matches in Bay Oval was no less than 182.6. I think both teams score 150+ and the Aussies to win is a good prize here.

Australia to win and both score 150+
