Southampton, Ma -After more than a year away from the cage, “Nasty” Nate Ghareeb (10-3) has been set to make his return this Saturday in the Co-Main event of CES MMA 81confronted against the Gruizige and seasoned Jefry “The Universal Soldier” Roy (7-5-1). The long -awaited event takes place in the Great Cedar Showroom in Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

Tickets for CES MMA 81 are now available via Cesfights.com And Ticket master. Doors open at 6 pm et, with the first game to start at 7 pm, the full event will flow live Swerve.tv.

Ghareeb’s journey back to the cage has been anything but conventional. After winning a heavily fought split decision victory over Mohammad Al Kinani in August 2023, the 32-year-old left his life in Florida-inclusive training at the renowned American top team-after a divorce that marked the beginning of a deep personal transition.

Now back in Southampton, Massachusetts, training at Springfield Submission Society, Ghareeb has again fueled his passion for the sport.

“It went well, man,” said Ghareeb about his new training camp. “It is a bit different than what I am normally used to. I was in Florida in Florida in the American top team for three years, and now I am back in Massachusetts training with my old coaches and teammates and also a number of new teammates. I have the feeling that I have learned a lot again, especially in the striking department.”

Ghareeb was adopted as a child and grew up in Massachusetts, discovered his love for combat sports for the first time while he went to West Virginia University, where he switched from wrestling to Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.

“I immediately fell in love with the art of fighting,” said Ghareeb. “I fought two weeks before my graduation and the following weekend. I knew this was something I wanted to do. I knew that if I didn’t do it then, I probably would never do that. I am grateful that I decided to strive for it because it led me all over the world and allowed me to meet some of my heroes like Don Cerrone.”

While his time at the American top team gave him access to some of the best in the sport, Ghareeb says that returns to Massachusetts and reunification with his old coach And Mchynyre brought him a renewed sense of clarity and goal.

“The only way I can explain is, it’s something that is very special,” said Ghareeb about McINTYRE. “The knowledge he passes on to me, I just understand. It’s just more logical for me. I always take the lessons I have learned everywhere and add them to my arsenal, so it makes me a more complete hunter.”

Ghareeb is now well-founded and focused and remains loyal to the aggressive, crowd-in-law style that earned him the nickname ‘filthy’.

“I am an entertaining hunter,” he said. “I bring the violence and the average. My style was built around it. My goal was never really to be a world champion. I want entertaining battles and moments in time that people will remember for years. The goal is to go to the UFC and set up highlights.”

To do that, he must pass Jefry Roy – a powerful, physically impressive hunter whose athletics can change a fight with one stone.

“He is an athletic man,” Ghareeb acknowledged. “He hits hard. His wrestling is very athletic based – he is just bench presses or throws you off. His striking is not trained. He will be timid when he is pressed.”

Ghareeb believes that his high battle IQ and unpredictable style Roy’s errors will uncover.

“I have a great Feint game,” he explained. “Everyone who has ever been spared or fought, knows you never really know what is coming. I am going to put him under pressure and break down. If he decides to come and swing, I have enough things to prevent that. He is going to walk in a number of really brutal things. He throws his chin up in the air – he is going to eat something nasty food.”

After enduring personal and professional setbacks – including injuries, losses and a difficult separation – this fight represents much more than just a potential victory for Ghareeb. It is a full circle moment and a daring step in the direction of a new chapter.

“I was at a point where I was about to retire,” ghareeb admitted. “But a bunch of people were:” That is not possible. You still have so much left. ” They believe in me.

Ghareeb’s comeback starts this Saturday in Foxwoods.
