Nate Diaz, who has “unfinished business” in the UFC, recently teased a comeback. He also made unprovoked criticism of Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira, for which the 40-year-old has now apologised.
First things first. Nate Diaz was the one who originally pitched the idea of the BMF belt. He also became one of the first fighters to fight for it against Jorge Masvidal, but never got the chance to claim it.
The Stockton native, who last entered the octagon in 2022, recently teased a return to claim the UFC BMF Championship that he believes is rightfully his.
However, Max Holloway currently has what Diaz desires and will defend it at UFC 326 against Charles Oliveira in a rematch.
During a recent interview with Clocked N’ Loaded, when Diaz was asked to speak on the headliner of UFC 326, he joked:
“I like Max. I’ll beat the hell out of him.”
Diaz also added that the White House Card would be perfect for his comeback.
“The White House would be perfect.”

Nate Diaz apologizes
In Nate Diaz’s comments above, it wasn’t clear whether he wanted to “out” Max Holloway or Charles Oliveira. To clarify the same, and to squash the beef he started with, Diaz posted on X:
‘I didn’t say I was going to punch Max Holloway; That’s pretty much what I said [Charles] Oliveira.”
He then admitted that he should not have made these comments:
“I shouldn’t have said that either, it was rude and I was confused”
Diaz showed respect and clarified what he actually meant when he previously said he would try clap “To the Bronx.”
“If we were fighting in a caged match I might try, but that was rude. I shouldn’t have said that, my bad Bruhs all Respecto 👊🏼”
