The Las Vegas Aviators have also released new secondary and cap logos. Logos that highlight aspects of their hometown’s connection to aviation.
When the team adopted a new name in 2019, the year they moved to their new Las Vegas Ballpark, the name was easily explained. The Aviators’ nickname was a tribute to eccentric investor, Hollywood mogul, philanthropist, engineer and record-breaking pilot Howard Hughes. The club was also owned by the Howard Hughes Corporation.
But in 2024, the club had a ‘different’ owner: Seaport Entertainment Group, a spin-off of Howard Hughes Holdings. And now that the direct link between the Howard Hughes Corporation and the Aviators was gone, it was time for some new secondary and alternate (cap) logos.
The first cap, an alternate cap, is orange with a navy blue lid, depicting a fighter pilot’s helmet with baseball stitches across it. Some landmark buildings of the Las Vegas Strip are reflected in the helmet’s crosshairs: the Stratosphere Tower (now the Strat), New York, New York, Luxor and something that could be Treasure Island, but also the Mirage (although unlikely, as that hotel is about to be demolished), the Monte Carlo Hotel and Mandalay Bay.

The second alternate cap (very appropriately, the Alternate 2) is a navy blue cap with a white front and an orange lid, depicting an H1 racer flying through an A. The H1 racer was built in 1935 by the Howard Hughes Corporation.

A third cap with a new logo is the new batting practice cap, which features the pilot mascot Spruce the Goose brandishing a bat. The cap is navy blue with an orange front.

The iconic LV logo, which reflects the mountains of neighboring Red Rock Canyon, remains the cap’s main logo.
