A family feud appears to be brewing between GloRilla and her sister, Victoria ‘Scar Face’ Woods, after the platinum-selling rapper was accused of not supporting her family financially since she rose to fame.
The rapper’s sister didn’t mince her words during an appearance on TMZ Live on February 5, where she criticized GloRilla and argued that the “TGIF” rapper has a responsibility to support her family financially.
Scar Face said that after the hardships that GloRilla and her siblings faced growing up, it’s only fair that the rapper makes sure her family is taken care of.
“She was made to share the wealth,” she exclaimed. “We wrestled together. We took baths in bottled water, cockroaches, stuff like that. Yeah, she obliged.”
Scar Face claims her sister prioritizes spending on friends over family. Although GloRilla has provided some financial support to their parents, Scar Face claims that their mother still works at FedEx and that their father only retired because he was eligible, and not because his award-winning daughter supported his retirement.
“Gloria made you all believe this fake, imaginary thing where she sent them into retirement. No, she didn’t,” Scar Face said. “My father retired because his time was up. She would have sent my mother into retirement, but she didn’t. My mother still runs the clock at FedEx.”
Scar Face said she is not asking for an excessive amount, and told the newspaper she believes each family member should receive $2,500. Her comments came a day after she took to Facebook to publicly call out her sister, claiming she should step in and give their parents money to help cover bills.
“I had to give my mom $1,800 of a $2,400 rent because your favorite rapper blocked her!! I’m tired of being quiet,” wrote Scar Face in a message shared online.
GloRilla has not publicly responded to her sister’s claims, but she did share a screenshot of a text message exchange with her mother in which the family matriarch thanked the rapper for all she does for the family.
“I actually didn’t want to ask you because you already do so much for us,” the text read. “I thank you so much for everything you do. I don’t take it for granted at all.”
The message continued. “I truly love and appreciate you very much! God bless you for the honor, respect, kindness and love you have shown to me! You are such a blessing to me. When I become a millionaire, I HAVE YOU!! In the meantime, I will prayerfully keep you in God’s hands continually.”
