The Magic are poised for a big boost.
Moe Wagner returns and makes his season debut on Sunday against the Pelicans in Orlando, the team announced on Saturday.
He has been out since tearing his ACL in a win over the Heat on December 21, 2024.
Wagner emerged as a Sixth Man of the Year candidate last year before his injury, averaging 19.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
He returns to a Magic squad that has slumped a bit lately, going 6-6 in their last twelve games.
They are eighth in the Eastern Conference at 21-18.
The Magic are still without Jalen Suggs for Sunday’s game.
He will miss his fifth straight game due to an MCL contusion.
Franz Wagner – Mo’s brother and teammate – is also still out due to the ankle sprain he suffered in the loss to the Knicks on December 7.

Franz Wagner had started the year strong, averaging 22.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, and entered the conversation for his first All-Star appearance.
But his injury put a stop to that momentum.
Moe Wagner is in his seventh season in the NBA.
He was originally drafted No. 25 overall by the Lakers in 2018.
