Currently ranked 9th ranked player in the world, she showed she can hang with the greats of the sport, and victory at the BNP Paribas Open against Aryna Sabalenka was the moment that marked her season. At the Dubai Tennis Championship she had an equal chance to triumph by winning against Danish tennis player Clara Tauson, making further progress and entering the Top 10 of the WTA rankings.
