Milan on stage for the yield of fines in the national ranking of municipalities with regard to 2024. The analysis of facile.it on the data of SIOPE confirms this. Only last year did the Italians pay more than 1.7 billion euros in fines, with a significant increase – by 10% – compared to 2023. Also thanks to the restrictions with regard to area B, Milan also leads the ranking with a monstrous figure: 204,541.058 euros that citizens paid in road fines. They follow at a great distance, Rome and Florence.
The Pro Capite Fine
Although Milan is in the first place and looks at it from a different perspective, the Lombard capital is not so inattentive when it comes to respecting the rules of the road. Or at least it is not in the rankings first. Easy. It actually calculated the fine per capita and therefore the relationship between municipal income and the number of inhabitants in the individual city involved. If you are considering the provincial capitals, we find Siena first, with a fine per head of the population of around 171 euros, while we stop at 170 euros in Florence. Third step of the stage for Milan that is at 149 euros. Here the Milanese divided figure is reduced to its 1.37 million inhabitants. Even if it is an unreliable calculation because a good piece of fines is detached from non -singing.
