Manchester United follows goalkeeper Mike Maignan after a clear guideline by Ruben Amorim, one who suggests a conflict that suggests the head coach and the recruitment department of Old Trafford.
A more experienced number one
It is assumed that Amorim insists on a “more experienced number one” to be added to his team, only three weeks after the Red Devils had signed Royal Antwerp -goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
The highly valued Belgian arrived in the Theater of Dreams in a deal with a first £ 18.1 million, which ultimately led to the exit of Andre Onana on a season -hose loan of Trabzonspor.
This left Amorim with Lammens and Altay Bayindir as his two senior keepers, with Tom Heaton of the third choice more a leadership and coaching role in the dressing room then fulfills an actual option on the field.
The Portuguese coach has so far preferred Bayindir this season with the Turkey International who started all five of United’s League matches. However, the 27-year-old Schotstopper is not impressed by the goal, making a number of mistakes and throwing a shaky presence with every version.
United fans are desperate that Lammens has handed the starting place but Amorim remains reluctant to throw the 23-year-old at the start of eleven without experience in English football.
This has apparently led the former sports manager to insist on another keeper with a more proven track record to arrive at Old Trafford.
United was interested in Aston Villa and Argentina number one Emiliano Martinez in the summer, with Amorim to have personally urged the signing of the 32-year-old, but in the end Lammens, who was a long-term objective that was identified by the recruitment department after glowing reports of explorations.
But this urge for a more experienced keeper suggests that Amorim is unhappy with that decision – and the targeting of Maignan of United indicates that Ineos are willing to support their head coach.
A bargain deal for a world -class star
A report of Talking reveals that the Red Devils “keep tabs” on the AC Milan goalkeeper who is an “attractive option” because of his contract status at the San Siro.
The Maignan deal with the Rossoneri is going next summer, which means that the French international is free to open negotiations with clubs about a free transfer of January.
Premier League-rival Chelsea is also interested in the 30-year-old star-nog a young age in goalkeeper years after a failed chase in the summer.
This means that Ineos must act quickly and decides to convince Maignan that the next chapter of his career should be in the Theater of Dreams, where his new coach will welcome his experience with open arms.
