MHBA announces ’25 show grant awards for yearlings
Prizes are based on wallet earnings on two and three

Participants in the Maryland Horse Breeder Association’s annual yearling show not only have the opportunity to take home ribbons and prize money at the show, but they are also eligible to receive a share of $40,000 in bonus prizes from the Maryland-bred Fund.
Every yearling shown, regardless of class status, is eligible for these cash prizes which will be split twice: $20,000 divided among the exhibitors of the four highest-earning show participants at 2 and another $20,000 divided among the exhibitors of the four highest-earning at 3.

All income is verifiable by The Jockey Club. The premium is split 65 percent among the top earner exhibitor ($13,000), 20 percent to the second ($4,000), 10 percent to the third ($2,000) and 5 percent to the fourth ($1,000).
