Great Britain were defeated 4-2 by Slovenia in their second match at the IIHF European Cup of Nations at Murrayfield Ice Rink in Edinburgh.
Jackson Whistle started between the pipes with Ben Clarke-Leach as back-up.
Logan Neilson, Liam Kirk and Josh Tetlow had chances in the first period for GB, while at the other end Whistle made a number of good saves from close range, including one to deny Mark Sever.
GB continued with a five-on-three power play as good cycling of the puck created a one-timer for Kirk in the left circle (21:47).
Slovenia equalized on the man advantage when Blaz Gregorc scored through traffic (26:26).
Kirk had a chance in the first 30 seconds of the third period before Slovenia took the lead when Luka Maver put away his own rebound (40:45).
Slovenia made it 3-1 just as a power play expired when Sever buried a one-timer from the right circle (51:27).
Bayley Harewood made it a one-goal game with a first-class finish on the powerplay (54:12), but Slovenia secured the win when Marcel Mahkovec scored from close range on his backhand (57:01).
