Mets’ Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto participate in rare 30-30 MLB History

Francisco Lindor joined Juan Soto in the 30-homer, 30-stupid base club with a monstrous shot during Thursday’s 8-5 victory over the Cubs.

And moreover, the Mets stars joined Rare Company.

Lindor and Soto only became the third pair of teammates in the MLB history that went 30-30 in the same season.

Former Mets All-Stars Howard Johnson and Darryl Strawberry became the very first teammates to complete the performance in 1987.

Dante Bichette and Ellis Burks were the second with the Rockies from 1996.

Lindor, who already had a season of 30-30 with the Mets in 2023, stepped up as a right-handed batter with the bases empty against Cubs Lefty Shota Imanaga and sent it 408 feet to the left field and completely from Wigley Field.

Soto had previously become a member of the 30-30 club in September, the first time he did this in the big league in his career.

If Soto would steal four bases the last four games of the regular season, he would meet the first to go 40-40.
