Aiemann Zahabi compares Merab Dvalishvili to GSP for Cory Sandhagen UFC 320 Fight | Bjpenn.com

Aiemann Zahabi has long been a Tristar product, so comparing someone with one of his legendary gym people over the years, Georges St. Pierre, is much praise for not being conceived lightly. Zahabi drew a comparison between the former two -division champion and the current Bantamweight Kingpin, Merab Dvalishvili, prior to the next defending defense of the latter.

Aiemann Zahabi has his own bantamweight fight with high commitment to concentrate on, while on October 18, he hires Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera in a battle for arranged Bantam weight candidates on UFC Vancouver. Zahabi appeared on MMA Canada To give his opinion on not only the ‘Chito’ Vera Clash, but also about the upcoming Bantamweight Title Fight on October 4.

When touching that fight between ruling title holder Merab Dvalishvili and Cory Sandhagen on UFC 320, said Zahabi,

“Man, very interesting fight. Guys, I think it will be great to watch. Okay, first, Bantamweight Division, the guys are great. All very good. I think Cory has done really good things against Umar [Nurmagomedov] In terms of granbying, you know, defending the back by grabbing the ankles. Like, he was not dominated on the floor at all, you know. ‘

“Of course I know for sure that he has refined that stuff to get better in them. And now he is facing a man who is similar to Umar in terms of as we know that Merab is going to shoot. He is going to shoot, you know, it is no secret. And he is just like GSP in the sense that we all knew that GSP would shoot. He takes you down anyway. [laughs]. Merab is going to bring you down, whatever happens. “

“That is something that you have to make peace with. And I feel that Cory is the type of hunter that has made that peace, but it is also smart enough to find a way that is okay, if I go down, how can I go down in the best possible scenario? Roll out, perhaps not dominated, do I find a way to go? I can?

Aiemann Zahabi thinks Cory Sandhagen “will have a better strike than [Sean] O’Malley against Merab [Dvalishvili]”

While he explained further at his bolt-breakdown for the UFC 320 Co-Main event, Zahabi continued,

“Let’s see Merab on his back, you know. So I think it’s really a good fight. I also notice that the height will play a good role because I think Cory will be more willing to throw the knee than Sean O’Malley. [O’Malley] brought in. So I think he will have a better strike than O’Malley against Merab. “

“But that can be seen. But if you would ask me who is going to win, I think Merab will win by bringing him down and eventually dominate him on the floor. You know, that’s what I think that will happen.”

“I can be wrong. I can be wrong. He has been startled many times before and Cory is a smooth switch. So he can catch it on one of the switches with a nice attack or a nice knee or a nice elbow, very dynamic striker. It is a must. It should definitely see.”
