McDavid, Crosby, Makar invited to visit the Canada Olympic camp in Calgary | Pro hockey news

Edmonton Oilers Center Connor McDavidPittsburgh Penguins Center Sidney CrosbyColorado Avalanche Center Nathan MackinnonAvalanche defender Cale Makar and St. Louis Blues -goalkeeper Jordan Binnington belong to the 42 players who are invited to the Orientation Camp of Canada, which will decide its last 25-man selection for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics in February.

The camp will be held in Calgary from 26-28 August.

The men’s tournament starts with preliminary matches on 11 February, with the Gold-Medal game planned for February 22. This is the first time that NHL players have been participating in the Winter Olympics in Winter since 2014.

At the Olympic Games, each team traditionally carries 14 attackers, eight defenders and three goalkeepers.

Six players were mentioned in the schedule of Canada June 16: Crosby, Mackinnon, McDavid, Makar, Tampa Bay Lightning Center Brayden Point and Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart.
