After a statement from the introduction yesterday in which the company received confirmation of the Transport (MOT) and the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) to continue its activities in Malaysia, another e-hailing service provider followed, Maxim, the same footsteps.
In a declaration issued, the company stated that the authorities had authorized them to continue the activities in the country, but were subject to various conditions. Maxim welcomed the decision, with the guarantee that customers could safely access the service, while their driver had the opportunity to continue to earn a stable income.
“We are grateful for the opportunities that are offered to continue the activities in Malaysia under the supervision of Apad, and we will ensure that all services provided are in accordance with the requirements described by Apad. Maxim remains committed to offering safe and flexible services that meet all the rules,” said Maxim Malaysa Director Musley.
As part of its dedication, the company will ensure that all active directors partners currently have a valid e-hailing vehicle permit (EPP) and are protected by the insurance. Maxim is also ready to work closer to Apad and other stakeholders to guarantee a safe transport service for all Malaysians.

The announcement of the two companies was followed by a report from May that Apad had suspended the internal and maxim -operational permits, with instructions to terminate the operation from July 24. The action was taken after it was found that the two companies did not take different requirements, especially with regard to the EVP requirements.
Both companies appealed to the decision and were asked to improve before July 24 to enable them to continue the activities in the country. APAD has also confirmed that both companies have improved their registration system to ensure that all drivers have valid EPPs to make them work legally and to provide their data to help the EVP cross.
On July 24, Apad also issued a statement with which these two e-hailing companies can continue the activities, with a three-month supervisory period.
