Los Angeles Dodgers Third Honkman Max Muncy was hit in the back of a helmet last Saturday against the San Francisco Giants.
He has only been to the Line -up once, for Monday’s series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies.

While the Dodgers have had to deal with a series of left -handed pitchers, Roberts said that there is something more for Muncy’s several absence.
“He was still a bit fuzzy (Tuesday) but fine, and today feels better,” said Roberts Wednesday. “So I think for me, I just wanted to give him an extra day.”
Although Muncy has not to do with a concussion, it is clear that the hit by Pitch has at least affected him a little, because he took a zinc shed of 94.1 km / h to the back of the helmet.

“From now on we are okay. Jaw hurts a little, but I was hit in the face,” Muncy said after the game. “But I played enough football growing up. Know all the signs I have to look for, and I don’t have it, so it’s clearly good. Sucks to be hit again, but that’s baseball.”
Muncy was also hit the day before, that time in hand/wrist area. Muncy is plagued by the injury bug all year round and has both a knee injury and an oblique injury that put it aside for a month.
When healthy, Muncy has been crucial for the success of the Dodgers. He cuts .250/.385/.480 with 18 home runs, 65 runs smashed and an OPS of .865. The Dodgers are 57-38 when Muncy plays this season. They are 28-29 when he doesn’t.

Muncy is expected to be back in the line -up for the series opener on Thursday evening against the Giants. The team will release the line -up about four hours prior to the first pitch, that is 19:10 pt.
