Halfway through her opening round, Mannat Brar broke a purple patch with four birdies in a row to take the first round lead at Clover Greens in Hosur on Wednesday.

The talented amateur shot a 2 under par 70, the only sub-par round of the day in the RS 15 Lakh 12one Lay the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, the WGAI said.

Mannat, tied up for the eighth place in Prestige Golfshire last week, was followed by Kriti Chowhan, Jasmine Shekar and Ananya Garg at Level Par 72S.

Jasmine, a multiple winner on the Tour, had an early bird on the fifth hole and then three in a row from the 11th to the 13th.

Amateur Aaradhya Shetty and Rhea Jha have carded 1 more than 73s to share fifth place.
