Bhullar Heads 11-Strong Indian Contingent at Jakarta International

An 11-person Indian contingent from India will see action on the inaugural Jakarta International Championship on the cock course of Damai Indah Golf fromoctober, 2 to 5.

The tournament as part of the International Series, a series of increased events on the Asian tour that is also a road to the Liv Golf League.

Gaganjeet Bhullar, a five -time winner in Indonesial and a member of the India Olympic team in Paris, has the management.

Participate in him his Khalin Joshi, Ajeetesh Sandhu, Rahil Gangjee, Karandep Kochhar, Viraj Madappa, Chikkarangappa S., SSP Chatrasia, Shiv Kapur, Rashid Khan and Yuvraj Sandhu.

Bhullar, 36, is an 11-way winner on the Asian tour and remains a formidable force in the region.

The previous international series title of the 36-year-old came in the BNI Indonesian Masters presented by TNE in November 2023, where he supplied a flawless wire-to-wire version.

Super -course

‘That victory contributed to an extraordinary record with three open titles in Indonesia – most of each player – and the victory at the Indonesia President Invitational.

This season in the International Series, Bhullar made the cut at four events (in India, Macau, Japan and Morocco) and includes a T14 finish in Morocco.

Of the rest, Karandep Kochhar finished in 2023 with the Indonesian masters in the Indonesian masters in the Indonesian Masters.

He also became second in the Morocco Rising Stars during the Asian Development Tour.

In anticipation of Jakarta, Kochhar said: ā€œIt is always a treat to be back in Indonesia. We played this course for the Mandiri Indonesian open last year, and it was a great event.

ā€œThe course is again in excellent condition and the weather has been nice for us so far – it can really get hot here, but this week it feels manageable.

“My game feels good. I had a few strong weeks on the ADT, the Asian tour and at home on the IGPL, so I’m excited to go up and hopefully having a good week.”

The field also includes Liv Golf Wild Card Anthony Kim, a triple PGA Tour winner, who wants to fight his way back to the LIV ranks after losing his place this year.

The American star said: ā€œPlaying in my twenty and professional wave, I had a lot of access to different things.

ā€œBut at the age of 40 I realized that we are blessed to be here and travel around the world, play golf for a bunch of people, in great places such as here in Jakarta.

ā€œWe must appreciate that and have gratitude for the chance we have for us.

“We will start tomorrow; we are all at the same level as the chance of changing our lives every week. This is not busy. This is a blessing.”
