Udayan Mane has fired a course record 5 under par 67 for the clubhouse lead on day two of the RS 1 Crore Kolar Open Driven by Zion Hills in the Zion Hills Golf County on Wednesday.
Pune-based mane, who shot a 73 in the round one to be bound 24one and five of the leadership, made a strong comeback on day two for a total of 4 under 140. said the PGTI
His 67 on another blurry day broke the 68 course record of Honey Baisoya in the first round on Tuesday.
The second round could not be completed on Wednesday after a heavy downpour from 5.15 pm forced the suspension of the game.
Thirty -one players on a total of 120 still had to complete their second round and will resume Thursday at 7 am. The third round does not start before 9 am on Thursday.
Level
Gurgaon’s Dhruv Sheoran was 4 under the day and clear by 15 holes, because his total also 4 under 140 reads.
Chandimandir’s Umed Kumar compiled an eagle, five birdies and a bogey of more than 15 holes to be 6 under the day with his total at 3 below.
Sheoran and Kumar are the likely challengers of the lead of Mane when they resume the second round on Thursday morning.
Nepal’s Subash Tamang (69) and Chandigarh’s Jairaj Singh Sandhu (70) became second in the clubhouse at 3 under 141.
Shaurya Bhattacharya from Delhi was fourth in the clubhouse at 2 under 142 with a 72 in the day.

Mane, the second place last week and celebrated in the PGTI order of merit, started the second round from the rear nine, where he produced four Birdies to go on the leaderboard.
He almost drove the Par-4 15one Green and made some quality up and downs for his birdies on the back nine.
The 34-year-old, who was looking for an end of four years of the title of drought, dropped two shots on the front nine, but also had an eagle on the par-5 second hole thanks to a great second shot.
He then added a birdie from 15 feet on the last ninth hole to stay ahead of the rest.
“This is a new course on the Tour, we are all still sorting many things here, such as where to miss the greenery, what form is needed for a certain pin position, etc.,” said Mane.
“The moment you think about the dangers and the external borders, it is not easy to make the perfect chance. I managed to close all those thoughts today and therefore a good score.”
