The attacker of Manchester United Matheus Cunha suffered a hamstring injury against Burnley during their Premier League match in Old Trafford today.

The summer signing of the Red Devils started the game, but took the knock shortly after the hosts took the lead in the first half and was removed.

Joshua Zirkzee came from the bank to replace Cunha and Man United head coach Ruben Amorim will hope that he has not been seriously injured.

The Brazilian walked straight through the tunnel after he left the field, and fans were left with their hearts in their mouths.

Fortunately for Man United, the international break of two weeks of Cunha offers the opportunity to recover and could be available for action if the Premier League will resume later next month.

The Red Devils are back in action with a trip to Etihad Stadium to be confronted opposite Manchester City on 14 September, and it is still to be seen whether the former Wolverhampton Wanderers -star will be fit enough.

Losing important players of injuries very early in the season is the last thing Man United wants, and they will pray that the scan results are positive.

Cunha is not for an injury and has not missed many competitions for injuries in the past, which should be good news for the Old Trafford Club.

They have options on the couch if he misses a number of games in the future, where Benjamin Sesko will probably start after the international break competitions.

Bryan Mbeumo can also be used to lead the attack if necessary, and Amorim will not have an excuse against Man City.

The summer transfer window is open until 11 p.m. on Monday and Man United could look to bring in one attacker if they discover that Cunha will spend a long time on the sidelines.
