Manchester United is said to have a ‘dream’ of signing Brighton star Carlos Baleba, according to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Following Moisé’s Caicedo’s large move to Chelsea, the Seagulls decided to sign the 21-year-old from Losc Lille to replace the Ecuadorian international.

Baleba is a technically healthy midfielder and comfortably receives the ball under pressure. He has excellent ball skills and also reads the game well defensive. The African is a player with the left feet, but is also comfortable with his right foot and can play long steps.
United currently has Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo as the specialized midfielders. Casemiro, however, has lost its athletics, while Mainoo is not the fastest on the ground.
Ugarte is good at defensive contributions, but lacks the qualities with possession. So a new midfielder is needed for Man Utd, and Baleba would be a great coup if they were ultimately able to secure his service before the end of this transfer window.
In the meantime, after struggling with target problems in the past term, Amorim has had difficulty renewing the front line. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have been purchased to strengthen the two CAM positions, while United closes a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig to strengthen the Center-Forward position.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggled to score goals last season, so Amorim has given priority to a new No. 9 and it has been reported that he is ready to discharge Hojlund.
