Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is already under enormous pressure and the season is only four games old.
Bad record
The Portuguese coach has only seen eight victories in 31 Premier League matches since taking over in November 2024.
Amorim did reach the final of the Europa League, but lost the last game versus Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 in Bilbao.
His side has only collected four points from their four opening matches, their worst start ever from a Premier League campaign.
That is why the people of the peoples asked their readers in a poll, how long should Amorim be given to reverse it in the club?
Hit out of faith
35% of the fans voted that he would not have to get any more time in the club and be the most careful action to reduce the club’s losses now, because it fits badly with United.
The results of Amorim have certainly left much to be desired and his rigidness to stick to a 3-4-3 has certainly irritated Numerus fans.
Nevertheless, it seems after a meeting between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the manager this week, he seems to have more time to put the mistakes of his term of office rights so far.
Thin
24% of the respondents believe that Amorim deserves a little more time, but that there must be a clear improvement in the results in the next three to five games.
That would more or less take the international break and they would be confronted at that time with Chelsea, Brentford, Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Were united to continue their struggles in all those competitions, serious pressure would certainly build on Amorim.
13% of the supporters demanded that Amorim would be safe if he could send his side in the upper half at Christmas.
United is currently 14th in the competition, but because the season is so young, they can quickly catapult the table with two or three victories on the bouncing.
Allegedly the team believes that they have built is good enough European footballSo it is likely that they would consider this goal reasonable.
Not the problem
12% of fans believe that Amorim earns at least 12 months because the current problems are not fault.
Although Amorim has had to take over an incredibly inevitable situation in a time of massive flux at the club, it might be unfair to claim that he is not at least part of the problem as a manager.
Europe
9% of fans believe that at the end of the season, Amorim should just have European football to save his job.
With the investment this summer and only focused on domestic football this season, it seems like a fair question.
Finally, 7% of readers believe that Amorim’s task should be safe, as long as he ensures that a finish in the upper half this season.
This would be an improvement compared to the 15th place of last year, but it seems unlikely that it would be sufficient to secure his job in 2026/2027 from the perspective of the owners.
