Fast match -preview of mine today because I am struggling here with some food poisoning here …
Arsenal VS City is huge for many reasons, the most important thing is that if Arsenal loses today, that us places 6 points behind the Liverpool 5 matches, which is less than ideal.
We have to make up for lost points. A point or higher is good, because what city looks like now, you would imagine that they will work out new squad -nodding by the end of the season and have some questions to ask the Premier League trophy.
The city, however, looks sick, it is difficult to ignore it at the moment. Pep mentioned in the Prematch press that his team to simplify was not mature, and they are not the machine needed to run a Premier League season. He also had questions about whether Rodri, at the age of 29, could hack three games a week so quickly in a return of a very serious injury.
I am also not sure if things are great there behind the scenes … City just doesn’t feel very much of the loss lately.
Arsenal, on the other hand, has been quite solid without pushing into spectacular areas. We have seen the deepest team we have ever seen in history, we have seen some good versions of individuals, but we still have to see WOW.
That said, we are not exactly an easy start this season, especially in comparison with Liverpool, who are all lucky all the time.
Last season it was the best attack on the best defense. Now I’m not sure where we are, because Arsenal can have a pretty good chance of getting the best attack this season when things click. Our ‘impactors’ go up, our striker places the ball at the back of the net and we look more dangerous to participate in the last third.
The start 11 will be fun and unpredictable for Arsenal. Odegaard, Saka and Saliba are all threatening returns. Martinelli has made a business to start against a team that will be open to transitions. There is a legitimate competition in every area, so this can really be a nice afternoon.
The task of the city side is to stop Haaland at all costs and to prevent Rodri from imposing himself on the game. Not an easy performance.
But if you want to win titles, these are the games where you have to have it count. We can’t be 6 points that early. Liverpool has ridiculous momentum again and we all saw how difficult that was to catch last season.
Home -fans must appear loudly today and let the home advantage count … Fingers crossed it all goes well.
Ok, short message, see you in the comments and after the game for the Podcast on the Whistle. X
