Mahindra has built the electric tractor on its global lightweight tractor platform, the Mahindra OJA. It aims to reduce operating costs and provides better torque delivery with overall efficiency across multiple applications, along with a fast charging option. The CNG/CBG tractor offers the flexibility to run on compressed natural gas (CNG), compressed biogas (CBG) and dual-fuel (diesel-CNG).
Mahindra’s Flex Fuel Engine can run on ethanol sourced from multiple sources such as sugarcane, maize, maize husks, plant stubble, crop waste and other on-farm sources. In recent years, the leading tractor manufacturer has showcased a range of alternative fuel tractor technologies such as CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) tractor, CBG (Compressed Biogas) tractor and other breakthrough clean technologies to reduce emissions and lower operating costs for farmers in India and the world. The company also showcased an extensive range of reliable, powerful and economical diesel-powered 2WD and 4WD tractors and agricultural implements, from both Mahindra and Swaraj brands.
