This needs a speech of the dressing room and for that we go to Robert Macintyre.
On Friday, after playing the second round at the BMW championship of the PGA Tour, a reporter asked him for Shinty, a sport that can become physical, and golf, what that doesn’t. And that means you ‘fight’ in Shinty.
But how do you ‘fight’ in Golf?
“Yes, I’m not very calm on the golf course,” said Macintyre. “But Shinty is a physical contact sport where the fight is not so much physical fight, but it is as if, do not go half -hearted; do not go 50/50 in a tackle; that is when you get injured. Go 100 percent in a tackle, and hopefully you win the tackle. If you don’t come back and you go again.
“Golf is exactly – that’s how I treat it. Yesterday I hit a bad tee shot on 12 in the water. If it is a tough test, I find it easier, if you know people make bogeys. But it was just to get there, make a drop, think of what you don’t do well. In the towel, but it’s not what I do.
“For me it is just done your best until it is ready and someone tells you to stop.”
Don’t give up. Do not throw in the towel. Don’t stop. Not now. Sunday will be a consistency day in Golf. For the professionals in different tours. For amateurs. For you.
Here are 12 (!) Ways how:
1. PGA Tour Tour Championship Spots
The BMW championship is the second week of the three-week PGA Tour-Playoffs, and another player will be completed after the last round of Sunday. Last week, after the end of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the top 50 of the seasonal classification continued to the BMW. After this week, the top 30 is ahead to next week’s Tour Championship.
The size has changed there. All players even start on the leaderboard, and the winner will also win the seasonal race and last year’s champion said it was a “cool size”.
“To win the FedExcup,” said Scottie Scheffler, “You have to play good wave at the right time. In our sport, to achieve what you want to achieve, you have to golf at the right time. If you want to win big championships next week. If I want to win the FedEx Cup this year. I have a great week.

“You throw away a bit what happened for the rest of the year. I think if you get the reward to come to the Tour Championship, I think that’s really what we’re looking at is once you are at the Tour Championship, you’ve had a great season, and now you have the chance to go outside and win the FedEx Cup at the right time.”

2. Large championship places
Those who continue to last year’s Tour Championship received places in the Masters, the US Open and the Open Championship – and will probably get them again.
3. Bonus money
Those who finish in the top 30 after Sunday also receive bonus money. The payment structure looks like this:
1. $ 5 million
2. $ 3.5 million
3. $ 2,595 million
4. $ 1.8 million
5. $ 1.45 million
6. 900,000
7. 700,000
8. 585,000
9. 550,000
10. 515,000
11. 380,000
12. 365,000
13. 350,000
14. 335,000
15. 325,000
16. 290,000
17. 285,000
18. 280,000
19. 275,000
20. 270,000
21. 240,000
22. 235,000
23. 230,000
24. 225,000
25. 220,000
26. 215,000
27. 210,000
28. 205,000
29. 200,000
30. 195,000
Scheffler is currently the first – and will end first, because his lead in the rankings cannot be overtaken at the moment. In other words, Scheffler could end up in the BMW and still win the $ 5 million. (Scheffler has 5,456 points, and the player, Rory McIlroy, has 3,444 and the tournament winner gets 2,000.)
4. US Ryder Cup Automatic Picks

After Sunday, the six automatic choices for the US Ryder Cup team will be completed. In the week in the Top 12 in the points classification: Scheffler (Al Stolished), JJ Spaun (already gone), Xander Schauffele (already dressed), Russell Henley, Bryson Deschambeau, Harris English, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Ben Griffin, Navlaan. Bradley.
Bradley, the captain, will mention the picks of his six captain on August 27. On the European side, the six automatic picks will be decided after the game on 24 August and Captain Luke Donald will announce his six Captain’s Picks on 1 September.

5. Keegan Bradley’s finish
This week and next, Bradley’s game is the most viewed. From now on the feeling is that he will probably pick himself for the team and the first play captain has become since Arnold Palmer in 1963.
But if he slides on Sunday and next week, the decision can become more difficult.
“I say the whole year that you can’t expect you to be in the team, unless you are in the top six,” Bradley said earlier in the week. “My goal is to go outside, whether I was Ryder Cup captain this week or not, and play well and play well on the Tour Championship next week.
“There will certainly be much more on my plate here in the coming weeks. The Ryder Cup has always been so far away, and now it is there. Things are certainly appearing. I still have a lot to prove when everyone around me on the list.”

6. Rasmus Hojgaard’s Sunday
On the European side, Rasmus Hojgaard is eighth in the team classification and leads after three rounds at the Danish Golf Championship of the DP World Tour. But there is more to it here.
The Danish golf championship is, yes, played in Denmark. That is Hojgaard’s home country.
He won the event in 2023. A second victory would be epic.

Rahm said: “I am sure that a lot of you – one of you on the stand will show on the screen what the possible combinations are based on where I and Joaquín end, but I know I have to beat him with a margin. If I don’t win, I know he should end up quite a bit.
“The goal tomorrow is hopefully coming out and doing what I did the first day and give myself the chance to win everything, but if not, I need some luck.”
Also at stake is positioning for the LIV team championship, which will be played next week.
8. Liv Golf relegation
Liv’s final round on Sunday also promises to determine whether players will be “relegated” for next season. If they fall under the 48th in the seasonal point race, then they are out.
