The vacant Legacy Fighting Alliance welterweight title was on the line in the main event of Friday’s LFA 223.
Jonathan Piersma and Luis Francischinelli threw to claim the 170-pound championship, previously held by fighters like Gabriel Bonfim, Carlos Leal and Jason Jackson.
After previously appearing on Road to UFC, Piersma wanted to work his way into a UFC opportunity. Luis Francischinelli was undefeated at the start of the evening and had spent his entire professional career with LFA.
