Oh, how time flies. It’s always like this before Christmas. Buy patties. Go for mulled wine. Christmas decorations. Work things out. The list of things that still need to be done before the leave can be long.
I’ve put together a little last-minute Christmas gift guide, gifts that are well thought out, sustainable and chosen with care.
- TO BELIEVE. Shopping locally has perhaps never been more important. And it doesn’t matter where you live, if you don’t buy from the stores that are close by, they will disappear. The power over where we put our money lies with us, consumers. I think a gift certificate from your favorite thrift or vintage store would also be a great gift to support them.
- CLOTHING CARE. Pure Effect – the miracle spray! I might do a whole post in the future about how I care for clothes. The Pure Effect spray is ideal for vintage clothing and, for example, jackets or garments that you simply do not want or cannot wash in the usual way. It removes odors and obviously works to freshen all garments. Hang up, spray on and wait a few hours while the good bacteria fight the bad odor producing bacteria. Available to buy in many places, including here Advertising link
- JEWELLERY. The mother ring. MOM=WOW upside down. So nice to give to yourself or a mother or just to wish for yourself. Available here: Promotional link!
- CERAMICS & CRAFTS. There are so many great makers within this segment, the photo shows a lady Jeanette Åkerberg (who also blogs here on TWWP) and I bought myself a bowl from her a while ago.
- REMAKE. Like ceramics and crafts, there are so many amazing female makers in remake. This specific shirt in the photo is from Jo-Jo from Liljequis. I bought it for myself and it was sewn from old lace curtains. She does a lot of beautiful work and also sews to order.
