Kyle Daukaus comes to make a statement against Gerald Meerschaert.
Daukaus heads into UFC 322 on a three-fight win streak and will look to add a fourth consecutive finish to his resume when he meets ‘GM3’ at Madison Square Garden.
In his last three appearances, Daukaus has a submission win over Sean Connor Fallon and back-to-back KOs against Keanan Patershuk and Michel Pereira.
Speak with James Lynch’The D’arce Night’ promised to deliver a new highlight finish when he meets Meerschaert in the world’s most famous arena.
“I’m going to get it done in the first round,” Daukaus said. “We saw that his weaknesses in the early rounds were often fast. The guys who put them there were very fast.”
“But again, you know, I can’t get tired of him trying to chase me or pressure me. So, but I see it moving forward meekly by being on the front foot, putting him on his back foot and getting him out of there on the first lap.”
Kyle Daukaus vs. ‘GM3’ is a battle between two world-class submission specialists
As Daukaus walks into UFC 322 looking to keep his streak alive, Meerschaert has his back against the wall. ‘GM3’ has fallen short in his last three outings, most recently in the first round against Michał Oleksiejczuk in August.
Overall, Meerschaert is 12-12 within the Octagonwith all but one victory coming via submission.

Daukaus, on the other hand, has just one submission under the UFC banner, but he has knocked out eleven opponents in sixteen career wins for a sub-finish rate of 68.75%.
Needless to say, you won’t want to blink when two of the UFC’s most explosive submission specialists collide in ‘The Big Apple’.
