Vincent Kompany gave full credit to his Bayern Munich players after they recorded their 11th straight win in all competitions to start the 2025/26 season.
The Bundesliga champions have defeated Borussia Dortmund‘s unbeaten start to their league campaign with a 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena as Harry Kane and Michael Olise got on the scoresheet ahead of Julian Brandt’s late strike.
In shape Kane has done it now scored twelve goals in the Bundesliga this season. Apart of Bayern, Eintracht Frankfurt (17) and Bayer 04 Leverkusen (16) are the only teams to have scored more goals as a team than the England captain on his own.
Meanwhile, Bayern’The eleven league wins at the start of a season is a joint record for a Bundesliga club and was previously only achieved by Dortmund in 2015/16.

Kompany explained that he is extremely proud of the way his players have started their campaign, but he does not want them to slow down ahead of a busy period.
“Thanks to the team we haveI won the first eleven games, but of course I also want to win the next eleven games. And then the next eleven after that,” Kompany said.
“You have to give Dortmund credit too, they deserved to get back into the game in the second half. The first half was almost perfect from us, very dominant, we were able to do that.”I scored two or three more goals.
“Dortmund took the fight in the second half. They were aggressive and in my opinion we played too slowly. We broke our own rhythm.”
“Yet without coherent team performance you can’t do anythingYou can’t win a game like this. It was’It wasn’t easy in the second half, but we defended quite well and were always dangerous.
“That’It’s the most important thing to me. It’It’s okay to have problems every now and then, but you have to remain dangerous, and that’s what we were.”

It was a typically brilliant performance on the ball from Joshua Kimmich, who assisted Kane’‘s opener, while also having the most touches (102), completing the most passes (77) and creating two chances.
But aside from the three points, Kimmich was pleased with the way his teammates persevered during a difficult period in the second half.
“It was very important to win this game, also the way we did it. I thought the first half was very, very good,” he said.
“Dortmund then did better in the second half, but you could see there was a real unity on the pitch. Even if Dortmund were on top for a number of periods, that was the case.”It’s not that easy to beat us. We did’Not only impressing with our football, but also as a team.
