Excellent Pacer Swayzee had his colors knocked down when Comer Kingman (always B Miki) printed him on Saturday night in an exciting finish in the Cobbity Equine Farm Pace in Menangle Park in Menangle Park in Menangle Park in Menangle Park.

From just his second start this time in Swayzee it was expected that it would run a more improved race after resuming in sixth place in the Len Smith Mile on September 6.

Kingman, who was heavily supported as a solid second favorite, was signed the inside of Swayzee. Luke McCarthy forged the leadership, but finally decided to take the sitting behind Swayzee that worked at the front shortly afterwards.

It was clearly far from home that these two would fight the finish. There was an expectation when Kingman closed the rails to rectify his challenge at the top of the house. Showing his usual determination fought Swayzee on Gamely, but in the night Kingman was the better horse and handed third with a beach ball three meters away with a three -meter distance with two meters from Swayzee.

A sparkling last quarter of 26.6 seconds helped the total mile of 1.53.6.

Luke McCarthy explained after the event.

“I was actually looking forward to riding him with a sitting tonight and there is no better horse to follow than Swayzee. He relaxed really well, he has done all the work so far in his races in Sydney so far. So it was nice for him to have a sit. When I pulled him out, he was super a fast quarter now.”

“We will now simply concentrate on the Victoria Cup and there will be some good races around Christmas.”

“Today I spoke with his owner and breeder Mick Harvey and I told him that I thought I could win. I am really happy for Mick that he came out and did the work.”

Kingman has now won four of his six starts for McCarthy and it is no secret that McCarthy has a high opinion about the four -year stallion.

But he will certainly face his most difficult task when he leaves to fame in the Victoria Cup. Swayzee will have to pick up more if he is in the Victoria Cup figure, but he is so fighting that he cannot be fired.
