Kai Lun Chow beat the third seed on his way to the semi-final at the WTT youth candidate Otocec in Slovenia.
After he had come to the knockout phase of the boys under the age of 13 when a second place of a group was beaten by Topzaad Alexander Malov of Spain-Chow (shown above), the higher-ranked Olaf Glanert van Polen in the last 16 and then defeated impressive third seed Louis Fegerl.
His run ended in the semi-final when he was defeated in Vier by Wu Yuan-Kai of the Chinese Taipei, who would beat Malov in the final.
In the underumption under the age of 15, Chow reached the round of 32, where he went to the third seed Francesco Trevisan of Italy.
Tianer Yu and Bly Twomey are in action in the events of the girls in Otocec, who start on Monday.
Bly Twomey was also in action with the WTT youth candidate Varazdin in Croatia, but was unable to go beyond the group stage in the Under15 or Under-17 Girls’ singles.
