The preparations for Liverpool for Chelsea have taken an unusual turn, with claims that the press conference of Arne Slot was deliberately demolished.

For the Stamford Bridge trip, the Dutchman spoke to the integration of Alexander Isak in the form of Mo Salah, but the session was packed after just 13 minutes.

Journalist Mo Stewart noticed X That “The fact that I and a few others didn’t get the chance to ask our questions and the whole thing was wrapped in 13 minutes.”

He added: “Slot felt happy to chat, but it is clear that someone wanted him not to answer too many questions now.”

The 47-year-old spoke positively about the early impression of Giorgi Mamardashvili, supported his players in the results after a recent dip and admitted that Liverpool rediscovered their set-set-set threat that was vital in last season’s title run.

But Stewart’s comments suggest that the decision to make things short may not have been to the manager himself.

Main themes from the briefing of Slot

In his short comments, the former coach of Feyenoord emphasized how Liverpool’s New Nr .9 still adapts after his record movement from Newcastle.

He also explained why Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong are reduced after injuries, and how Dominik Szoboszlai has filled in right back.

The focus on set pieces was particularly striking. Last season Liverpool scored seven times from Dead-Ball situations in the second half of the campaign, compared to this period.

Slot warned that Chelsea scored more than half of their goals from such scenarios.

Sir Kenny Dalglish has stated that Florian Wirtz is an important part of Liverpool’s creativity and has supported him to succeed in Anfield, despite recent criticism.

Both themes were again in this press conference, even if questions from the press package were demolished.

With the Reds opposite the side of Enzo Maresca, the club will be meticulously viewed on both pitch details and off-pitch stories.
