Liverpool have recorded five wins from their last 16 games in all competitions, a stark contrast to their formidable form in the relevant period last season.
Slot has had to get used to control and pressure, and that pressure will only disappear when the malaise seems to be in the rear-view mirror.
There have been calls for a fresh start with Slot seemingly unable to adapt tactically to his new signings and the opposition’s approach, but Jones insists he has the squad’s support.
“We always stand (behind Arne Slot), always,” he told reporters after the win at Inter, via the BBC.
“He is human at the end of the day.”

“He’s human at the end of the day, so if we get defeated it will obviously affect him.
“It affects us all, just like it affects the fans. He is a positive man, he always brings change and the playing style has changed a bit.”
“He’s as hungry as ever, he’s just the same as us. He’s right there with us, and we’re right there with him.”

Journalist David Ornstein reported NBC Sports on Monday that Liverpool’s hierarchy are “100 percent behind” Slot, who has their backing to improve his side’s form.
However, questions will arise over whether the club will look closely at Xabi Alonso’s situation at Real Madrid after he admitted he would consider a return to Liverpool in the future.
Alisson says players “believe” in Arne Slot.
Jones is not the first player to say the Liverpool side believe in Slot, with Alisson insisting this was the case when speaking to the press in Italy.
“Of course, yes,” Alisson replied when asked whether the players still support the manager.
“Last season in the Premier League, before Arne came in, everyone was talking about the huge challenge of being Jurgen Klopp’s successor.
“Everyone takes last season for granted, that should not be taken for granted. That should be enough, but we believe in his knowledge, his playing style and turning this situation around.”
“That is also the situation at the club, they trust him.
“It’s not just his responsibility, as a player I share the responsibility to turn this around. We are responsible. We take this responsibility, we are the ones who can change everything.”
“We’re trying, it doesn’t get any easier, but we’re trying. We have a desire to change.”
“The manager also has the desire to get back on the winning track and play the same good football as last season.”
