The Phoenix Suns may have had a busy low season – with no fewer than nine new faces through the door and count – but they have identified an opportunity to add a young player with top and do everything to make it happen. That would be Jonathan Kuminga from the Golden State Warriors – and while the Warriors get tired of the chatter – there is still a way in which this happens.
It is said that Phoenix Nick Richards, Royce O’Neale and four seconds offered round picks to the Warriors for the 22-year-old, although, as you would expect, the needle did not move. However, it is certainly a starting point – and although the ball is in the Warriors’ Court because Kuminga is a limited free agent – it is clear that they want to continue all this chatter as quickly as possible.
Kuminga’s newest Instagram post reason for concern for Suns.
In an attempt to perhaps go through a deal, Kuminga went to Instagram with the caption “I bet on myself all day”, which probably means that he will sign a qualifying offer with Golden State to land a much larger payment day on the road. This always comes with a risk – it has rather failed and there is always the chance of injury – but Kuminga wants to be paid.

Rumors also maintain that the Suns will offer him a $ 70 million deal if they can land him, which is closer to the evaluation that is his side ahead. Although that all sounds great in theory, Kuminga will go to social media at all, reduce painful memories of the time of Kevin Durant in the valley, and that is something that the suns want to go from.
Durant is the most notorious player in the competition to go to social media to speak and go back and forth with everyone who crosses him. Kuminga did not do that here and is clearly frustrated by his current situation that you can understand. But maybe say nothing at all and let it all play behind the scenes, there would have been something to do here.
There is nothing to prevent Kuminga from doing exactly the same in the future if he ends up in Phoenix in one way or another, although we are ahead of ourselves. It has similarities with Jimmy Butler, who love teams when he arrives, but always breaks his welcome in one way or another. Leaks come out of both camps and everything becomes public, and Butler is on the road again.
The Suns try to build a new culture and go to social media to get your way is not what they are going for. You don’t see a franchise cornerstone Devin Booker doing this, it’s unnecessary drama. The organization just passed Chris Paul because he would have been a strong voice at a time when they have a new head coach in Jordan Ott. This is worth remembering.
