Although John Tonje is not signed by the Utah Jazz, every indication that has been somehow, he will be in the roster of jazz. The Georges Niang trade has indirectly confirmed that. Before registering on the dotted line, Tonje participated in the Junior Jazz Road Trip, where he greeted fans in various camps in Utah. Along the way he shouted a well-known NBA veteran: PJ Tucker.
Tucker, who was technically a minute earlier this year a jazzman, organized a basketball camp where Tonje went when he was younger. Tonje explained himself Deseret News’ Sarah Todd The impact of meeting Tucker left for him.
“We had never seen an NBA player in Omaha, and we thought that was once the coolest,” Tonje told Todd. “I was like swarming him, swarming near him near him and asking him all these questions.
“To this day, I don’t even know how or why he was there, but he was the coolest one, so that’s why I feel that I can be a little more patient with the children because I was that child.”
It is cool to see that the players from the past of the NBA leave the kind of sign on the players of the future NBA as Tucker did with Tonje. So much so that Tonje has taken it to be that influence for the axis of future NBA players (or really future professional basketball players). He also embraced it every minute.

Tucker is the perfect NBA -example for Tonje
Tucker became one of the most productive role players of his generation, because in the years 2010 and 2020 he played a crucial role in several play -off contenders. This includes the Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers. In 2021, Tucker is in fact considered the last part of the title of the bucks.
However, Tucker did not have the most orthodox NBA path. After the Raptors had chosen him in the second round of the NBA design of 2006, he played a year in the NBA before he continued his professional basketball career abroad. He eventually returned in 2012 with the Phoenix Suns, where he found his foot.
It was not traditional, but Tucker became a good example for players to get rid of. Minus the five -year interruption, Tonje could follow a similar path. It is not to say what kind of opportunities Utah would give him, but with all those youth on the Roster he should get a fair chance. If not with jazz, then certainly with the SLC stars.
