Former UFC commentator Joe Rogan recently gave his thoughts on Jake Paul’s performance against Anthony Joshua. Last weekend, Paul and ‘AJ’ played a heavyweight boxing match at the Kaseya Center in Miami, which was streamed live on Netflix.
Although ‘The Problem Child’ did far better than what the masses expected, he still had to deal with one Round 6 TKO loss. Paul was knocked down by Joshua a total of four times. The YouTuber turned boxer also suffered a double broken jaw, which recently required surgery.
On The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan had a message for Paul. He advised the 28-year-old not to participate in such fights in the future, as the damage suffered inside the ring is long-lasting and can have serious consequences. Rogan said:
“Don’t do this for so long. Because there is a price to pay that is not worth it. The price is deep depression, a serious brain imbalance that will lead you to addiction… So many people become compulsive gamblers, drug addicts and alcoholics after their fighting careers.”
He added”
“You can only take so much. The one he got from Joshua, oh! Say, if you have a punch card… That was about 10 punches… There was a lot of concussions in that one punch. That was real damage. Like someone breaking your jaw in two places, on the inside of your goddamn head, there’s a lot of damage going on there too.”

Jake Paul wants to fight former UFC heavyweight champion next
Jake Paul believes Francis Ngannou has no chin, and considering Paul survived more rounds against Anthony Joshua than Ngannou, he is better than the 39-year-old.
Ngannou faced Joshua in 2024 and lost by knockout in the second round. ‘The Predator’ has competed in the squared circle twice and lost both times.
After being dismantled by ‘AJ’, Paul now wants to fight Ngannou. On the Impulsive podcast, ‘The Problem Child’ joked:
“I told everyone I would do better than Francis. Francis actually has no chin. Francis is demurely soft… I will fight Francis. I think he might take now [the fight].”
