Jimmy Crute discusses “Constant War” with wanting to do more for UFC Perth

With Junior Tafa from the UFC Perth card this weekend, the lightweight Jimmy Crute is in the Co-Main Event Slot.

It is safe to say that crute (13-4-2) is happy with the promotion. He also sees a number of areas where he can beat opponent Ivanslan, not only in the wrestling department, he said during this week’s media day.

“I think I can beat him in many other places. Of course there is a great discrepancy of skills with the wrestling, but I can also touch him, don’t worry about that,” promised crute.

Erlan has found great success outside the UFC, but is on a bipping slip in the Octagon. He sees UFC Perth as a huge opportunity to straighten the ship, but Crute seems to think that he is reading too much in it.

“I noticed that when I looked tape on him, he had more calm in his second UFC fight than in his first. That could be because of his difference in the opponent, but I don’t really care,” said Crute. “I think he might take it a bit.”

Known for fan-pleasant fights in the cage, Crute does not intentionally go in a Barnburner. “I just go outside and fight, man. I can’t help to go into exciting battles,” said Crute. “It’s just my style.”

A few years ago, Crute took a self -imposed sabbatical from Vechten after he became too obsessive about it. He has now learned the importance of peace and recovery, although he must follow himself.

“I am peace with it, but I have to remind myself very often. It is a constant war between wanting to do more and know when they have to rest and such,” he said. “But I am much better at it than before.”
