Jets’ Samberg, Nyquist will return tonight vs. Cracking
TRANSACTIONS: The #NHLJets have activated D – Dylan Samberg and F – Gustav Nyquist from injured reserve. The Jets also placed D – Haydn Fleury and F – Cole Koepke on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 11 and Nov. 7, respectively.
Dylan Samberg and Gustav Nyquist return tonight as the #NHLJets fight against the #ZeeKraken at Climate Pledge Arena.
In 2024-2025, Samberg played in 60 games and registered 20 points (6G, 14A). He added three assists in 13 postseason games.
Nyquist, 36, last played on Oct. 30 against the Chicago Blackhawks and is listed as day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. He returns tonight still looking for his first goal of the season after providing five assists in 11 games so far.
Winnipeg has been tested by several young, up-and-coming teams during this six-game road trip. The Jets have been exposed at times for their lack of speed and defensive structure, not quite playing the game hockey fans are used to seeing. But with the lineup gradually getting healthier with each game, the group should return to its identity. Adam Lowry and Cole Perfetti returned earlier in the trip, and with Samberg and Nyquist rejoining the club, the Jets will look for a full 60-minute effort tonight in Seattle.
Puck drop is scheduled for 9:00 PM CST on TSN3.
