Once again it is claimed that Arsenal have made the decision to give Gabriel Jesus the contract he is looking for after he impressed since returning from injury earlier last month.
Mikel Arteta has really built a side that is now capable of winning the Premier League title, they sit at the top of the tree, and a side that could possibly go on and even win the Champions League title.
However, the rumor mill is abuzz with speculation about possible income and expenditure at the Emirates Stadium and there is a lot of talk about the future of Gabriel Jesus, a player to whom Mikel Arteta has also been fiercely loyal.
In recent days it has been claimed that Italian giants Inter Milan are ready to step in and offer him a way out of Arsenal as his contract expires at the end of the current season. ARSENAL might be open to the idea of letting him leave.
However, the Brazilian does not want to leave ARSENAL and after impressing in recent weeks, reports claim that Arsenal are willing to sit down with Jesus and agree a new contract.
The news comes after Gabriel Jesus recently told the club to offer him a new contract so he can fulfill his dream of winning multiple trophies at the club: “I want to extend my contract, I want to stay, I want to win trophies with Arsenal because I came here with that purpose and that’s it.
“But of course the reality is sometimes different. Sometimes you have to go in a different direction, but my focus is on staying healthy and winning trophies with Arsenal.”
Does Jesus deserve a new Arsenal contract?
There have been times in recent seasons when Gabriel Jesus has been quality, he works so hard for the club and puts in some solid performances, but there have been far more times when he has been out with an injury.
He is a very good player to have as a back-up when he is fit, but this is the perfect opportunity for that ARSENAL to take his huge £250,000-a-week wages off the books and add a younger back-up striker to the squad.
TONALI GIVES FOR MOVE
Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio has tipped Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali to join Serie A giants Juventus in the future despite interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Towards the end of the January transfer window ARSENAL were heavily linked with a move for the Italian star as reports suggested Mikel Arteta was looking to replace the injured Mikel Merino, who could be out for some time.
But that move clearly never happened and Tonali remains in place to help Newcastle get back into Europe and compete against the very best teams, but that may not be the case next season if you believe all the transfer rumors.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marchisio was asked whether he would pursue a free transfer for Bernardo Silva, who is out of contract with Manchester City this summer. However, the former midfielder turned around and said his former club needed to bring in strong Italian players to help them in their bid to return to the top of Serie A.
He said: “Football is changing, but the DNA of the clubs is not. Juventus has always had a core group of Italian champions and needs to rebuild it.” [Gianluigi] Donnarumma seems unattainable to me, he has just moved to Manchester City.
‘Tonali seems more feasible. He would be an excellent starting point, but patience will be needed.”

A move to Juventus would be very tempting for Tonali, but he is based in England and he would get a much better wage if he stays in the Premier League, that’s for sure.
