“Since then The better sister‘s show came out, people have been asking about Jessica Biel’s back and arm workout, and for good reason,” said Bruno in an IG video with the popular actor. “But the truth is, while she certainly does a lot of work on her back and arms, her workouts aren’t specifically broken down into back day, arm day, and so on. She does full-body workouts that combine upper-body exercises, lower-body exercises, core work, and a bunch of things that do it all at once to maximize efficiency.”
As a busy parent and aspiring actor, Biel wanted to reach the next level without having to spend countless hours on a treadmill. “Jess is super strong and loves to push herself, but she’s not that interested in lifting super heavy weights at this point in her life,” her coach explained. So we find other ways to make it challenging and keep it fresh. There are lots of different moves you can try here, Bruno said and Biel demonstrated proper form. “And they’re all great, but it’s important to know that we’re not doing all of these moves in the same workout, or even close.”

“She normally does one exercise for the back, which also works the biceps, one exercise for the shoulders and one exercise for the triceps, plus some other movements for the legs and abs,” Bruno explains. Biel’s coach also emphasized that it is impossible to maintain top fitness 365 days a year. “And the super strong body you see on the screen cannot be maintained all year round,” he added, with a sense of transparency often missing from the usual fitness posts on social media. “Jess knows that, so she spends most of the year training consistently, but not crazy by any means. Let’s call it ‘7 out of 10 hard’.”
This sustainable approach to training allows Biel to ramp up her training when a role requires her to look her best before returning to maintenance mode. And while some celebrities like to promote seemingly superhuman powers in their posts, Jessica Biel happily shared a clip of them crushing L-Sit Ring Pullups, but the actor also had her coach explain that she hadn’t felt the need to try them again since that day.
Jessica Biel’s recognizability has undoubtedly earned her even more fans. “The L-Sit Ring Pullups at the end are iNsAnE!! wrote a fellow respected fitness coach, Joe DeFranco. And he wasn’t the only one impressed by Biel’s genuine work ethic. “She is the best,” one follower wrote. “Thank you for making such a positive impact on women’s strength training in a smart and sustainable way,” another added. “I love the transparency,” yet another added.
For her part, Biel was rightly pleased with the results she had achieved with her latest project. “Thank you to my friend and great trainer @benbrunotraining for all the help that preceded it The better sister but also for my daily life,” she responded next to the inspiring video.
