Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez have added an otherworldly element to their $165 million ($A249 million) Beverly Hills mansion, a UFO-shaped ‘sauna’.
Photos obtained by the New York Post unveil the unique addition to the grounds of the sprawling residence, which was once owned by media mogul David Geffen and has undergone major renovations since the businessman purchased it in 2020.
The images show a silver structure shaped like the command module of a NASA rocket, which reports suggest is home to a sauna, located in the backyard of the 10-acre estate.
Bezos and Sanchez placed the sauna, which was reportedly designed by Timothy Oulton Studio, near the cactus garden. Broker reports.

Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have added some interstellar additions to their sprawling marital home – and it comes complete with a UFO-shaped ‘sauna’.

Designer Timothy Oulton’s website features a number of spaceship-shaped creations, including one called “Apollo” that is “built to the same scale as NASA’s Apollo 11 space capsule” and houses an intimate seating area that can be used as a “VIP seating area” or as a work space, according to his website.
The product description notes that Apollo can be adapted for outdoor use, but no price is given for the item, which is “made to order.”
While neither Bezos, 61, nor his 55-year-old husband have commented on the home expansion, it’s likely the space-themed facility is a nod to the billionaire’s space project, Blue Origin, which his wife traveled on in April 2025 with Katy Perry and Gayle King.

However, the spaceship sauna is far from the most impressive aspect of the incredible estate.
The building comes complete with three floors and was designed by the American architect Roland Coate.
The home recently served as the venue for reality TV mogul Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, which was attended by Oprah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Mark Zuckerberg and Mariah Carey, among others.
Although Kris and her guests — including many members of her family — appeared to have the time of their lives at the event, Bezos’ neighbors were reportedly less than impressed with the noise level heard from the Amazon founder’s extremely lavish home.
TMZ reported that police officers were seen arriving at the venue in patrol cars – with sources telling the station that the noise was largely due to a live performance from Bruno Mars, who drove guests “absolutely crazy” with his on-stage performance.
The outlet stated that the officers present spoke to security guards on site and issued a warning about the noise levels – only to return to the property later that evening after learning that the mansion had been fitted with several fake hedges, which had been set up without a permit in an attempt to obscure the house from view and control traffic.
These hedges reportedly had to be removed immediately, just as many of the A-list attendees were leaving the party.

Despite having done significant work on his California home, Bezos’ primary residence is actually on the other side of the country – in Florida’s Indian Creek Island enclave, where he owns three separate properties.
The first two homes, which are next to each other, were snapped up by Bezos in 2023 for $68 million ($102 million) and $79 million ($119 million) respectively.
Multiple reports suggest that the mogul plans to renovate the two abodes to create the perfect marital mansion, where he and Sanchez will eventually settle down.
But as work gets underway on that massive project, the billionaire businessman has made other arrangements for himself and his wife: He’s purchasing a third residence on Indian Creek Island for the lofty price of $87 million in 2024.
The couple is said to be living in the third house while construction of their mega villa is underway.

Although the home is only temporary, Bezos has spared no expense to ensure it is in perfect condition, making a number of upgrades to the Mediterranean-style home.
Firstly, he has transformed the 1.84 hectare plot into a true oasis with the help of professional arborists who have planted an abundance of exotic trees in the front and back gardens.
Not only do these trees, which include Japanese Yew and Brazilian Beauty Leafs, help provide a natural barrier between the Bezoses and prying eyes, they also add a lush feel to the property, creating a tropical paradise within the grounds of the waterfront home.
There are several statues scattered throughout the lot, which also comes equipped with a private pickleball court, according to building applications seen by Realtor.
The paved area around the pool has been extended with an outdoor dining area, which sits under a floral canopy, creating a perfect spot for al fresco dining.
At the back of the house, a maze of paths has been created between the trees, creating a kind of small secret garden in the grounds of the enormous six-bedroom house.
Bezos also has the keys to a property on Indian Creek Island in Florida.
Meanwhile, the property’s garage has been transformed into a private gym – with the building’s original door removed to make way for new, industrial doors costing more than US$100,000 ($150,000).
Inside the home itself, multiple aesthetic renovations have been made, as well as several structural changes to the HVAC system, plumbing and electrical.
Bezos is also one of several billionaires who own properties in the ultra-exclusive enclave of Medina in Washington, which is also home to Bill Gates and former Microsoft CEO Charles Simonyi.
Four years after founding Amazon, Bezos, along with now ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, spent $10 million buying two homes on a 5-acre parcel in the town of Hunts Point.
In 2010, the duo reportedly spent US$28 million ($42 million) to extensively renovate the estate, which boasts 90 meters of private beach and a private boathouse.
To maximize space (and privacy), Bezos also purchased an adjacent property that same year — a 21,000-square-foot mansion that was reportedly for sale for $53 million.
It is unclear whether Amazon’s CEO paid that hefty sum or managed to secure a discount.

Although he still holds the keys to much of his Seattle real estate portfolio, Bezos sold one house in April this year, selling it for an astonishing $63 million ($A95 million), according to the Puget Sound business magazine.
The Amazon founder has reportedly added another property to his cart in 2021. The billionaire and Sanchez have purchased a 14-acre estate on the Hawaiian island of Maui.
The cost of the off-market transaction is said to be around US$78 million ($118 million).
The offering is said to include a main house, a guest house and a swimming pool.
The property includes seven plots of land and a fishing pond with a private white sand beach.

Bezos bought the property in 2004 because it reminded him of growing up on his grandfather’s land in Cotulla, Texas.
It is not known how much he spent on the 400,000 hectare estate.
