Leading trainer Jason Grimson can now claim a carousel success after his promising Colt Our Sweet Delight (Sweet Lou) showed his rivals a clean pair of heels in the $ 30,600 Carrouself final on menangle on Saturday evening.
Grimson had a strong hand in the final, because in last week’s heats he won three of the four heats with our sweet William, Tuapeka Lou and Miki Cohen.
Although each of the heat winners was impressive, our dear William looked the best out of it and Cameron Hart made the right decision to manage him instead of the others.

Trust back in a hot favorite, our Sweet William was able to cross the leader Classic Elegance whose driver Brad Hewitt was satisfied to follow the path.
But once at the front we seemed to cruise sweet pleasure and the others behind him began to struggle. Classic elegance tried to take on a challenge with the straightening, but our sweet pleasure stepped neatly in a different gear and he was buying out to win with just over three meters from the rapidly finishing Red Sapphire who came back in the field with classical elegance in third place.
Grimson expressed his satisfaction when winning the carousel.
“It is absolutely good to win this. It is clearly a very prestigious race and yes, it is an honor to win it. It is quite difficult to win and a good horse always wins, so hopefully this guy can continue.”
Grimson added how he obtained our sweet pleasure from owner Tony Turpin “Every time I came there, I saw him and he is such a beautiful horse and I said I would take him if they wanted to get rid of him and I am good friends with Tony. He is a legend of a guy. They sent him down.”
“He is a beautiful horse and hopefully he will continue to improve.”
“Afterwards he said with Cam that he said he jogged and did it so easily. The Victoria Derby is the plan. We will give him a process before we only attract him.”
It was a big night for Grimson when he won his 500th Australian career training with our sweet pleasure.
Asked about the effort he explained “It is quite exciting. I suppose the most memorable was the first new -Zeelandse Cup, because it is so difficult to win and then his second new -Zeelandse Cup for all trips. So now I hope to get 500 winners at Club Menangle.”
It was again a memorable evening for the heart. He scored with Dom Toretto (Sweet Lou) for trainer Chris Judd and later won the trotters carousel for Joe and Mary Rando with their consistent winning tricks known tricks (used to me).
