Jannik Sinner withdraws with Cramp to give Greek Spoor -victory at Shanghai Masters

Jannik Sinner was forced to withdraw from his third round match at the Shanghai Masters against Tallon Giekspoor, the 27th seed, after he suffered from cramps in moist circumstances while he chased the Dutchman 6-7 (3), 7-5, 3-2.

The progress of the American in the past nine days has been particularly satisfying that she underwent wisdom surgery on the day she flew to Beijing: “It has certainly been here for a few weeks,” she said. “I have the feeling that I have learned a lot about myself. I think I can take a lot of positives and consider it a lot of progress for me, simply finding out ways to start certain challenges and push myself in moments that I can’t go any further. I feel that I have learned in that sense that I am stronger. That is a huge win.”
