If they weren’t already, things are suddenly very interesting in the Mecca as the Knickerbockers find themselves in the midst of mounting trade rumors surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo. As things stand, our hometown team is more or less living up to predictions that they would be the team to beat in the Eastern Conference, once again led by the King of New York in Jalen Brunson.

In addition to his status as NY captain, he remains Kobe’s current king of the league, culminating in the upcoming launch of his own Jalen Brunson Kobe6 ‘Statue of Liberty’ and a continuous deep register of exclusive warmth. Although the All-NBAer first broke out the closet during a game against the Mavericks on November 19, he is now sharing some studio photos of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘Sunrise’. Translucent textures make way throughout the upper, giving way to a blue sky/sunny ombre that defines the shoe’s profile as a whole, continued with a tri-color sole unit and aligned with the translucent traction underfoot. A pale yellow lace completes the sun-colored nods, while matte black Swooshes and scabbard logos add a grounded effect.

You’ll notice that Brunson specifically labels this as the “Sunrise” PE, indicating that they will remain in his closet for the foreseeable future. However, we note that the same convention also applied to the “Statue of Liberty”; It would take about a year for that shoe to reach the public, but it eventually did. As always, if we hear any whispers that this will happen for this better counterpart, we’ll keep you posted.
